Liz is currently a specialist performing arts physio with Trinity Labanand works on ‘Matida The Musical’ in the West End. She was the head physio for Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ for 3 years. Outside of dance, she has worked with Middlesbrough Football club, players from the UAE Pro League, and the National Basketball Association in the USA.

Liz is currently a specialist performing arts physio with Trinity Labanand works on ‘Matida The Musical’ in the West End. She was the head physio for Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ for 3 years. Outside of dance, she has worked with Middlesbrough Football club, players from the UAE Pro League, and the National Basketball Association in the USA. Her special interests are the foot and ankle, injury reduction, stretching and flexibility, and return-to-sport/dance rehabilitation. She teaches various ‘Foot and Ankle’ programmes, including courses on foot strength, and dance-specific foot and ankle injuries. These courses now run internationally.
Liz has worked in private sports injury clinics, falls prevention services, and is a qualified DMA Clinical Pilates instructor. She has written articles on dance injury prevention for ‘The Stage’ and has been a guest with many different podcasts and conferences, talking about her work with performers, and feet! Liz also visits dance companies and schools as a consultant physio, seeing their more complex foot and ankle injuries, having worked with both Elmhurst, and the English National Ballet in this capacity. She has also diagnosed and rehabilitated injuries in world champion Irish Dancers (often over Zoom), returning them to competition level.

Anthony Bowne
Professor Anthony Bowne has been Principal of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance since 2010.
Biography
He was Joint Principal and Designated Officer previously. As Director of Laban between 2003 and 2005, Anthony played a key role in the merger (2005) with Trinity College of Music which formed Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the largest of the conservatoires in UK higher education.
His focus has been, and remains, the development of Trinity Laban as an international hub for the development of performing artists who will lead their art forms throughout the first half of the 21st century.
Anthony Bowne’s education in dance at (then) Laban in the early 1980s is complemented by an honours degree in Economics from the University of Southampton and an MSc from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London. Anthony’s early career was as an economist in the motor industry. Later, he held an academic position at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
His experience as an educator was balanced with creative expertise as a lighting designer for both theatre and architecture. Projects include theatre design for Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures, Hong Kong Ballet, Rosemary Butcher, the Cholmondeleys and the National Theatre of Taiwan and architectural design for the World Finance Centre in Shanghai, Chijms in Singapore and Joyce retail stores in Hong Kong.
Utilising his training and experience in the performing arts, economics and architecture, Anthony led the project to realise the Stirling Prize-winning Laban Building which opened in 2003. He acted as Arts Council England capital project mentor on the Lottery funded New Vic theatre and served on the Rambert Dance Company Property Committee for the company’s relocation to London’s South Bank.
Anthony currently chairs both the Finance and Remunerations Committees of London Higher, the ‘umbrella’ organisation for London’s universities and higher education colleges. He is also Deputy Chair of Conservatoires UK and Chair of the UCAS Advisory Group for Universities and Colleges Admissions. Other board memberships include One Dance UK, the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund, HEFCE’s Teaching Quality and Student Experience Strategic Committee, and Blackheath Halls (Chair). He has served on both the DCMS Dance Forum and the All Party Parliamentary Dance Group and is Visiting Chair of Dance for Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and Visiting Professor of City University, London.

Awards
Anthony was one of 10 lighting designers chosen as ‘ones to watch’ in ‘Lighting Dimensions’ (USA) and won a London Dance and Performance Award in 1992 for the lighting design of Yolande Snaith’s No Respite.

She is registered as a dietitian with the Health Care Professions Council. Jasmine is an Accredited Nutritionist (Association for Nutrition) and is a High Performance registrant on the Sport and Exercise Nutrition register (SENr). She has a particular interest in dance but has worked with athletes from a variety of backgrounds.

Kate graduated from the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust. Before working as a Craniosacral Therapist, Kathryn toured as a freelance dancer/choreographer in Europe and America, working for choreographers such as Laurent Chetouane, Christ Haring/Liquid Loft, and William Forsythe.

Kate graduated from the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust. Before working as a Craniosacral Therapist, Kathryn toured as a freelance dancer/choreographer in Europe and America, working for choreographers such as Laurent Chetouane, Christ Haring/Liquid Loft, and William Forsythe. Her career in dance has deeply informed her work as a therapist. Kate holds an MFA in Choreography from the Ohio State University, an MA in Dance Ethnography from Gallatin University /TISCH in New York City and a BA in English from Bowdoin College in Maine, USA.
Alongside her clinic hours Kate continues to work as a dancer, choreographer and teacher combing her two passions through research. Katet’s practice is informed by her career in dance and her own experience of receiving a wide range of treatment within that time, she feels the two practices feed one another and creates further curiosity about the performing artists’ body.

Natasha’s professional journey is underscored by a profound interest in injury epidemiology. Natasha’s passion for understanding the health and well-being of dancers blossomed during her professional training in contemporary dance. This curiosity subsequently led her towards completing a Master’s degree in Professional Somatic Arts Practice and qualifying as a soft tissue therapist from NLSSM (London). Furthering her expertise, Natasha pursued a certificate in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths, University.

Amelia is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Trinity Laban. She specialises in performing arts injury and rehabilitation.

Amelia is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Trinity Laban. She specialises in performing arts injury and rehabilitation. She works both in the NHS and private practice, as well as is working as a dance science educator for several dance organisations, including the Centre for Advanced Training and the Royal Academy of Dance.
Amelia originally trained as a ballet dancer at The Royal Ballet School and went on to graduate from the King’s College London with MSc in Physiotherapy in 2018. She has also completed MSc in Dance Science at Trinity Laban.
She is a clinical Pilates instructor delivering weekly classes to staff and students at Trinity Laban and also manages an NHS clinical Pilates service.

Colette is a dance specialist physiotherapist at Trinity Laban. Through her work she has treated pre-professional and professional dancers from a variety of genres, West-End artists and musicians. She has worked with elite GB and international athletes, as well as football clubs. Colette has extensive understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation and believes in a holistic approach to the care of patients. This is reflected in her interest in health and performance psychology and how these principles influence injury and rehabilitation.

Julia joined our team in October 2023 as a new Graduate Intern in TL Health.
Recently completing her BA in Dance from the University of Roehampton, Julia developed a keen interest in performing arts medicine and injury prevention. She is figure skater and part-time assistant ballet teacher. With her professional qualification as a sports massage therapist, she is able to guide students on injury concerns and recommend appropriate course of action. Drawing from her professional practice and education in both dance and music, Julia effortlessly connects with all of our students.

Jonathan Peel MBE
As Director of Strategy and Business Operations, Jonathan’s role encompasses and oversees many of the operational functions of Trinity Laban. In addition, he is also the strategic lead for Health and Safety, Data Protection and Safeguarding. Jonathan has worked in the higher education sector for over 30 years and brings a wealth of experience to Trinity Laban. Outside Trinity Laban, Jonathan enjoys life as a semi-professional musician, song writer and record producer.
Jonathan was awarded an MBE in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to Higher Education.

Dean Surtees
Dean Surtees joined Trinity Laban in 2017 from St George’s, University of London, where he was Academic Registrar. During his career he has also worked for a number of other universities including Imperial College London, the University of Greenwich and the University of Westminster. Dean studied history at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, graduating in 1995.
Dean provides the strategic leadership of academic administration at Trinity Laban including admissions, programme administration, quality assurance, scheduling, student services and planning; he is the Secretary and Clerk to the Board of Governors, and Company Secretary.

Helen is a specialist in massage for dancers, having trained at the London School of Sports Massage in 1996. She has previously been a company massage therapist with the English National Ballet and the Royal Ballet.

Helen is a specialist in massage for dancers, having trained at the London School of Sports Massage in 1996. She has previously been a company massage therapist with the English National Ballet and the Royal Ballet. At Trinity Laban Health, where she has worked since 2003, Helen utilises the AIM (Anatomy in Motion) technique to identify restricted or missing movements and apply corrective methods to re-educate the body, relieving pain by redistributing pressure. Within her sessions, Helen focuses on achieving muscular balance to enhance movement and function. Passionate about understanding the body’s design, Helen is also developing new techniques to teach dancers about their bodies, with an emphasis on injury prevention and self-care.

Eva Woloshyn
Eva Woloshyn joined Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance as Director of Development and Corporate Affairs in 2006. Eva came to Trinity Laban from the arts sector in London where she had worked at a senior level for over 15 years. She led the Unicorn Children’s Centre capital campaign to build a new theatre for children next to City Hall in Southwark which opened in December 2005. She previously worked in the visual arts as Director of SPACE Studios, a leading provider of studios and other services for fine artists. She has provided consultancy and mentoring services on an independent basis, and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
